Library 2.0 & Web 2.0

I started this post a while ago, and since then I have been busy with other stuff. I like the views of Dr Wendy Schultz that how the libraries are changing from collection of information only to digital age and librarians are acting as trainer for their users with all the information and skills they have. Michael Stephens view of Librarian 2.0 is quite good how librarians can enhance service to its users by meeting online as through Any questions where other libraries including Manukau Libraries help students in doing homework. Public libraries sometimes can not provide enough resources for study purpose and in that case National libraries resources can also be used. I enjoyed the video that related to this week's topic http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6gmP4nk0EOE I enjoyed how everything is so easy and approachable and also lots of money could be saved where all books are available free and immediately to anyone who has a computer and internet connection. But then probably authors will have no motivation to write books and many people still love to read, If the library will become a virtual place and perhaps the library building will be replaced with a website gateway. So instead of present jobs there will be different jobs to deal with. It is interesting to look forward library web 2.0.
